Last night I did some photos, and pasted them on my PRIMARY BLOG (http://fab50.blogspot.com) , but I've gotten a lot of questions about slowdowns in weight loss and how to cope here, so I thought I'd share these. You'll see, there isn't a whole lot of weight loss going on in terms of the scale in the first three photos... some 35 lbs, which is only about half what I've lost since I've been able to weigh myself.
Thing is, you can be gaining fitness, improving your metabolism, and the scale not showing it. That's in part because muscle weighs more than fat. That DOESN'T mean that if you weigh 300 lbs and are at a plateau you don't have more to lose! Don't I know that! But it does mean that sometimes we have to look at more than the scale to know how we're doing.

Photo Day...
There are a number of reasons I wanted to do a photo today. First, because Biggest Loser Blog Edition is asking for one... second, because I'm sick and tired of waiting until I get under 300lbs.

Please excuse the lousy built in to the computer cam photo... it took my daughter a LONG time to get the photo below, so I figured I'd just set the timer on the computer and take my own photo for the today photo above.
oh, and just for reference, these are the pants I bought a year ago... the ones that I couldn't get buttoned when I started this diet:

OK... I feel a little better now.
