I have had several experiences, but this is one of the happiest. When I was growing up, I was very, very close to my great-aunt. Both of my grandmothers had passed before I was born, so she was the closest I ever had. She was the very definition of a "lady" but had been quite a "flapper" when she was young. She passed when I was a senior in high school, and I was devastated. I still miss her today. So, when I was pregnant for the second time, we did not know if we were having a boy or a girl. My older daughter was 3 at the time, and looked exactly like me. One night, I was laying in bed alone, while my husband was at work. I had been reading, and was feeling very anxious about my pregnancy. After a few minutes, I could hear a voice, very soft, almost like it was in my head. However, there was a soft light glowing in the doorway of my older daughter's room next door. I concentrated on the glow of the light (there were no lights on) and realized the voice was that of my great-aunt. At this time, it had been 9 years since she had passed. She was telling me that I would be having a daughter, who would have her red hair, and would be very much like her...intelligent, caring, very lady-like, and that she would absolutely be a part of my daughter. A few months later, I gave birth to a little redhead. She is now 17, and is very, very much like my great-aunt. She even has what I call "old eyes"....eyes that seem to have seen all of this before...the same color as my great-aunt. She also has an old soul...she is very caring and considerate, brilliant, and proper. I truly believe that my great-aunt is indeed a part of her, and that she watches over her.
