Quad biking for the over 40s
I'm not too sure how to start this so I'll just launch into it, here goes............ I've just come back from a trip to Australia and as you can imagine I've one of two mementos, photos, gifts, oh yes and a fair few bruises. Not your usual sort of memento but then coming off a quad bike's not a usual occurrance for me. After a fantastic time getting to grips with the bike and the rough terraine I felt quite confident and I suppose perhaps a bit over confident, so that when the mishap happened I was momentarily stunned. It all happened so very quickly that I'm still not exactly sure how it happened surfice to say I shot up a fairly rocky incline into some trees where I ended off the bike with slight grazes on my knee and stomach. These later changed to a tennis ball size lump/bruise on my knee and a similar size multi-coloured bruise on my upper stomach. It's been a week since this happened and at this rate that bruises are going to be with my longer than my tan. Would I do it again? Too right I would it was fantastic. Who says you get more sense with age, not me!
