question about potty training?

hiya, rachel,
\n thanks for accepting my invite to help with the group, You sound like your doing ok with the potty training, but theres one more thing you could include to make it easier until your DD learns to hold her bladder longer, its not always the best in terms of decor, but it helped me no end, i was advised to keep 3/4 pottys in the house, 1 in the living room, 1 in the bathroom, 1 in the kiddies bedroom and depending on the size of your house maybee another 1, so your DD doesn't have to leave the room to go potty, its not the best orniment but studies show if theres a potty in veiw all the time from an early age it encourages toddlers to sit on it, even when wearing a nappy and wetting just so they become fimilier with sitting on it also they learn to go to it when needed,
\n one more trick, i used to have a game on top of a cupboard with my DD one she really liked and everytime she got to the potty instead of having an accident we would get the game out and have 5mins with it, well it worked 200% better than we expected she was always trying to preform on the potty just to play the game, and she was trained really fast.. Hope that helps.. Donna

Hiya Rachel
My DD was potty trained by the time she was 2. She was pretty much like your little girl and was telling me when she needs to go. Do not ignore her when she tells you as she is obviously ready for starting the training. I pretty much had a potty in every room lol so as soon as she told me I could get her to the potty. Sometimes we were to late but soon enough she was getting the idea. Plenty of praise when they have used the potty is always good.
