Samantha
Sweeting is a high flying lawyer at a corporate law firm and sees all
her hard work pay off when she is about to be made a Partner.
Unfortunately when Samantha realises she's made a mistake which could
cost her client millions she panics - big time. She gets on the first
train out of London to god knows where and just sits in stunned
disbelief that she could have made such a simple mistake with such dire
consequences. She calls at a house for a glass of water and some
painkillers for the monster headache she now has and winds up being
mistaken for an applicant for the housekeepers job, which she takes.
Samantha has spent her whole life up to now in persuit of a law career,
as a result she can't cook, she can't iron, she doesn't know how a
washing machine works and she's taken up a job as a housekeeper? With lots of humour, a touch of romance, a hint of intrigue, and a
madcap, happy ending this is chick lit personified. It made me laugh
all the way through and would make a really good film - loved it.
