Shopping! ... in the rain without a plastic bag!
Ok, so I know we are all terribly 'Earth Mother' now and religiously go into town and are quizzed at the checkout whether we want to pay 10 pence for a plastic 'bag for life' But today, I could really could have done with some! Today, experiencing the worst rain... since yesterday! I braved the raindrops and made my way to M&S to buy their charming and [soft!] toilet tissue. On principle I do not want to spend money on their plastic bags, so I stuffed my purchase into my reusable shopping bag - hoping that the deluxe quilted brand didn't start expanding in my bag, like 'products that ladies buy' do! I sloshed my way to Waterstones and hey ho! They gave me a bag for my Kate Mosse Book - Oh I was so grateful! - Not an easy product to sell, in the rain, without a plastic bag! Now all I had to do was wait for the bus in the rain! Drip, drip, drip!
