Newly pregnant, in my 30s, I moved to London 4 years ago after our marriage. Since then, what with working, trying to find work, moving house and settling in... I could never quite establish a circle of close female friends like I had back home. Now that my demanding worklife--as a documentary and Promo director--has eased off a bit following my pregnancy, I feel the absence of girl buddies more than ever.
