Race for life and other important events
Time for an update!
I ran race for life on 10 July and thoroughly enjoyed doing it. I took about 45 minutes to jog the course. It was a nice day, part cloud, part sun, and the course was mostly flat. I got a bit of sunburn, but it died down after a couple of days
Last weekend I went and got the last few items that I still need for my holiday. I went and sat in the Country Park for part of the afternoon. Unfortunately I hadn't banked on the sun being as strong as it was, and I neglected the sunlotion. I got really badly burned down my legs. I've had to wear shorts for work all week, but it's finally calmed down, although for the pain I've just lived through, I'm hardly tanned at all!
I'm off on holiday on Sunday morning, camping near Land's End. The train leaves sometime close to sunrise, hideously early! Fortunately I don't have to worry about works; I called the train information people and they've reassured me that it's OK.
I so need to get my laundry done and the house clean. I also need to pack the kit ready. It's going to take more than half an hour or so to do. I also need to get into town to see about cat biscuits and library books. I'm probably going to need chocolate too...
