Oooh - crickey! I'm 30 (but don't tell anyone), I'm married to Mark whose nearly 40 (OK so he's 36 but it makes me feel better) and we have two lovely little one's. Archie is just gone two and baby Eloise born Jan this year. My profile name derives from our mutt, Woggles, who was my furry baby when I joined IV, on the then "getting pregnant" board - now TFAB in June 2004. I am currently on maternity leave, whether I go back to work or do something completely different is anyones guess!

Getting back to "normal"

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2007, 3:35 pm

I got woken up yesterday morning by DH saying he didnt think he could go into work cos he was so stressed! Now on the face of it you think no big deal - let him have a duvet day? But he's done this before, got himself all wound up and one day turns to two and then a week and a month, and before you know it he's been off sick for 3 months and his pay stops!

And all because he's had a week off after his snip and fallen out with his mum... so he's all teary and 'I can't do it anymore' and I know I sound hard and unsympathetic, but I cant take another bout of his faux-depression, so I put him in the shower, and drove him to work myself!

He's just rung to say that his absence has been picked up as a concern (and if I was managing him it would have been picked up 6 months ago) and he's got to have a meeting about it, where they'll tell him he can only have a certain amount of sickness before being subjected to a *potential* disciplinary process.... so will this keep him at work or stress him out more, who knows!

To top it off yesterday I got a text from MIL, saying she was sorry she overeacted and could we be friends, so I took it at face value and called in for a cup of tea on my way back home. I might as well have stuck pins in my eyes for how welcome she made me feel!!!

Eloise has been full of cold and grumpy cos she's starving all the time and not sleeping through anymore, so I started weaning her today. Archie is still up two or three times in the night crying, so between, MIL, DH and the LO's I'm tired, and I'm stressed, but I still have to carry on!

Anyway today MIL seems to be a bit more "normal" if she can be, DH went to work without complaint (and seemed a bit embarrassed by the whole thing) and I got loads done today. Back on the up? I hope so!

My weekend............

Sunday, May 20th, 2007, 4:35 pm

 .........started well!

We went to tha national railway museum at York on Saturday, Archie had a fab time - shouting TRAINS TRAINS TRAINS!!! Got a bit much for him though!!! Here he is with the Mallard

Anyway then we have a run in with MIL....

"I'm so wound up I cant even be bothered to go into details but essentially she has vertical blinds in Archies bedroom at her house and I asked her if she would mind opening them before he goes to bed if he stays over (she also has curtains) to stop any risk of him getting caught in them. No big deal right????

But no, NOW I dont trust her to look after her grandson, NOW she has to tell me everything she does, and get my permission first, she KNOWS FOR A FACT that nothing would ever happen with said blinds, she WONT be dictated to about how to look after him. FFS All I did was spot something which could be a risk and ask her to change it!!!!

Shes not talking to me, DH is about to divorce her, and because she's 'mildly unhinged' she's pretty much fallen out with everyone she knows, because she's so fricking hard done to, and everyone is having a go at her. She cant leave anything in the past, and insists on bringing up everything you've ever crossed swords over (BTW she KNEW that Archie had meningitis 8 weeks before he got poorly!)

Oh I'm so mad, DH is furious................"

Snippety-snip!

Sunday, May 13th, 2007, 3:20 pm

DH had his snip done on Friday afternoon, and has been pretty much laid on the settee ever since. On Friday night he fainted on me (and managed to pull the loo-roll holder off the wall!) and his nads are bright black....

I shouldn't laugh, but.................. heehee!!!

I'm really tired though, had a few bad nights with the babies, and DH hasnt been able to get up to them. Hopefully will be better soon... bit worried about Archie but will post tommorow....

Back off my jollies!

Saturday, May 5th, 2007, 3:55 pm

I'm back - had severe IWS (internet withdrawal syndrome) LOL while I was away!!! No, seriously had a great time, Archie was a bit of a mare at bedtimes and overdosed on fruit shoot which made him a bit hyper, but apart from that was fab!

Weather was glorious, we got upgraded to a lodge with a dishwasher, towels, and a dvd, and Archie did loads of stuff, singing and dancing class, painting, hand prints, swimming, pedalos with his dad etc etc...

Eloise was poorly yesterday though - really high temp, and wouldnt be put down, so we came home first thing rather than waiting till after dinner... she's a bit better today but still clingy so one handed LOL!

Here's some pics!
