I've had a great few days. I took my daughter to Edinburgh yesterday, which was lots of fun. The weather was great, so we had lunch in Princes street gardens, then we went to the Edinburgh dungeons (pretty scary!) and to Mary King's close, which is an underground tour of an old city street.
The weather was lovely in Glasgow today too, so I had lunch with a friend, sitting outside a little bistro I go to quite often. It reminded me of being abroad, which has got me thinking about booking a holiday. I'd love to go back to Italy, but then again there are so many places I haven't seen yet. I'll give it some thought...

To be honest, I've never really seen the point point of blogs, but I'll try anything once (except tripe), so here goes.
I've been stuck at my PC all day, writing a report for work. It's pretty hard going, so I'm trying to get it out of the way in one go. I've almost finished a book about Elizabeth 1, which is fascinating, and I'm really tempted to abandon the report and go and lie on the couch and finish the book.
Elizabeth 1 said "I know I have the body of a weak and feeble woman, but I have the heart and stomach of a king". She sounds like my kind of woman, very strong!

Welcome to my blog. This is all new to me, I'm used to posting on the ivillage message boards, so bear with me! I'll try to jazz up this space as I get used to how everything works.
I've made lots of great friends on the ivillage message boards, so I'm hoping this will be another way to get to know new friends.
