A young 57 year old??? (I think I'm 37). Very happily married for 36 years, (I still think he's a hunk) with 4 children, the 2 eldest being mixed twins, and then another boy and girl to follow. 6 grandchildren the eldest being 16, OMG perhaps I'm not 37! 2 cats. Work part-time as receptionist at a private clinic.

Not blogged for ages.

I had acupuncture for giving up smoking last Friday, it didn't work. But I am going to continue with it and combine it with patches after my birthday which is not far off.

The acupuncture was good for relaxing me, and to get rid of stress and grief which I am still suffering from since losing my Dad last year. God, I still miss him so much, he was my hero.

My 2 daughters and 2 daughters-in-law are going to the Colstan Hall tomorrow to see the Ghost Hunter???? from Sky. I don't watch his programmes and don't know what what they will expect.

Hi there,<br />\n<br />\nHave not been on here much lately either have been too busy with the wedding ,holidays etc etc. Still struggling with the diet here never mind giving up smoking though i need to try that again. Have decided to try the new drug Champix and see if that will work. Had a good result with the patches before but unfortunatley i am allergic to the adhesive and ended up red from head to toe so had to give them up. Never watch those ghost programmes either always found them a bit silly.<br />\n<br />\nTake care and good luck <br />\n<br />\nMargaret

Just read your post bout acupuncture for to stop smoking, shame it wasn't successful, i was a 50+ smoker 2 years ago, i went to my local health centre who run a group with the patches which they gave me plus i bought the sweets too for a few weeks as i was a heavy smoker i worked with both then just used patches i was finding it hard with the habit with my hands i was told to go into my health shop and buy tobacco and nicotine free ciggies (have little tar)so i did and when i was struggling with the hand thing i had one of these (taste rotten) but it was getting me to stop so i used these for a few weeks and now i still miss the hand habit and now i have a packet of my health shop ciggies and take one every now and then, have put on a lot of weight but the main thing is i stopped smoking and hope to live longer as my hubby died aged 44 heart attack he smoked for 21 years i have smoke heavier for 26 years. hope you find the way to stop it isn't easy but if i can do it then anyone can, good luck, <br />
