Not blogged for ages.
I had acupuncture for giving up smoking last Friday, it didn't work. But I am going to continue with it and combine it with patches after my birthday which is not far off.
The acupuncture was good for relaxing me, and to get rid of stress and grief which I am still suffering from since losing my Dad last year. God, I still miss him so much, he was my hero.
My 2 daughters and 2 daughters-in-law are going to the Colstan Hall tomorrow to see the Ghost Hunter???? from Sky. I don't watch his programmes and don't know what what they will expect.

It's a week since I returned from my 2 weeks holiday in Majorca, just want to get back on the first flight and return to the sun. What terrible weather here? Has summer been cancelled this year? Is the sky still blue??
Oh what a great time DH and I had with a few 'Victor Meldrew' moments added in.
We booked a catarmaran trip through the reps at our welcome meeting. A lazy day on board with sunbathing, drinks followed by a swim in the sea and a bbq on a beach. The day arrived for our trip. DH and I packed our bags after breakfast and from our balcony noticed a mini coach had arrived outside of our hotel it was 8.45am I asked DH to check time of our pickup, it was 9.05am. Five minutes later the rep from the coach rang our room to tell us our coach was waiting and that we were late. We rushed downstairs to reception gave our receipt to the rep and pointed out that we were not late and to tell the other passengers - before they lynched us - that an error had been made. We still got jeers from some of the them on the coach and I'm sure I saw a noose.
A few minutes into our journey the rep introduced herself and welcomed us all on the 'secrets of Majorca' trip. DH and I looked at each other and said isn't our trip 'lazy days'? Anyway she carried on talking to tell us our first stop was a short distance away and it was a huge cave. As we were getting off the coach we asked other passengers around us are we going on a catamaran? No came the reply and we wondered why you were wearing swimming gear.
Well needless to say errors had certainly been made and no one could tell us what had gone wrong. Our receipt clearly stated we were booked for the 'lazy days' trip but we were on the list for the 'secrets of Majoca' trip. We obviously stayed on the trip or be left stranded in the middle of no where, which was a day visiting churches and monasteries with a 4 course meal included. I don't believe it!!!!! We were given half our money back.
Later into the holiday we got on a bus - which was 1 1/4 hours late to go to a little resort further on around the bay. When we arrived we had a drink and then booked our return journey back on a ferry. We went for a dip in the sea, had lunch and then went for a wander around the resort. At the said time for return we waited on the jetty for 10 minutes and the ferry did not arrive, it had been cancelled due to choppy seas. I don't believe it!!!! The booking booths had closed so we couldn't get our money back.
I don't think we are meant to get on a boat this year we had originally tried to book a cruise and stay holiday but the med cruises were fully booked.

I keep feeling this sense of doom and gloom hanging over me like I'm expecting something horrid to happen, (probably the scales shifting up 7lb) I wish I could shake it off. In my day to day life everything is fine - why am I feeling this way? I'm at target and maintaining, everyone in the family is well and I'm off on holiday to Majorca in 2 weeks time so why oh why do I feel like this? Get to grips girl.
Giving DH a lift to the airport at 6.30am tomorrow - he's off to Aberdeen I am intending to go straight to the gym afterwards for a long swim, WI early evening and then back to the airport to pick up DH.
I have really been off SW plan this week so don't think I will have a maintain probably a huge gain. I have had 3 Indian restaurant curries (2 takeaways and 1 sit in) and 1 Chinese restaurant meal. Tuesday 5 June DH had a hospital appt he phoned me just after I got in from work to ask me to collect him, he suggested we had a (takeaway) curry that evening which ended up being a sit in meal. Wed 6 June went to WI, DH suggested we went for a drink at local to watch England play football, accompanied by our 2 DDs. After taking DD1 home DD2 suggested getting an Indian takeaway and she was paying. Fri 8 June, SIL's birthday 15 of us went out for a Chinese meal to celebrate. Sat 9 June, DD1 and SIL wanted to go out for a curry and wanted us to babysit only GD was not well, DH suggested we had an Indian (takeaway) curry at ours in the garden being such a warm evening, so consequently 3 Indians and 1 Chinese not of my making, but very happy, until I get on the scales tomorrow evening.

Maintained this week at WI, very pleased. I've spoken to my consultant to tell her I think at the moment I am at my target weight. All of my clothes fit really well and I've bought quite a bit more since losing weight, stocking up ready for my holiday which is at the end of this month. Off to sunny Majorca on 28 June for 2 weeks can't wait.
Went out for a curry last night and we are going to a bbq tomorrow evening. Must still watch what I am eating I definitely don't want to gain lbs.
I bought a book from Amazon last week that was recommended by someone on the Slimming World message board. Haven't had time to read very much yet but so far very enlightening. The person that recommended it got a new car because after reading the book that is what she wanted and now she has it. Last year that was all I thought about I wanted a new car (in this sense I mean a newer car) but hubby bought me a new (new) car last Feb), I didn't even know about the book then - its already working. I think it might be something like Noel Edmunds is attributing to his renewed fame to, asking the cosmos for what you want, but I'm not going to be drawing on the side of my hand to acheive it.

I have really been off plan this past week, and not been to the gym for my swim. The thing is I'm quite happy at the weight I am now, lost 1 and 1/2 stone since joining SW, I know thats no excuse for not going swimming. All my clothes fit well without having to breathe in, I've gone mad and bought a lot more clothes because I haven't had much opportunity over the last couple of years and refused (except when essential) to buy size 16.
I'm getting into holdiay mode, only 4 weeks before my 2 week break to Majorca. At the moment in the process of booking a 2008 holiday with our children and grandchildren. At first it looked like we were going to Bulgaria but having looked on Holidays Uncovered and Trip Advisor quickly changed our minds. It probably is going to be Ibiza. I love Spain and the islands.
Well its WI tomorrow evening. I am going for a 50 length swim in the morning before 4 of the grandchildren arrive - babysitting required due to half term. The first 2 arrive at 10.00am and the other 2 at 1.30pm and once again its my day off work and I get to do what is planned for me from the rest of the family. I know I'm having a moan - but last week I was in attendance of my Mum and in-laws needs plus babysitting for sick grandchild and collecting 2 from school. One Wednesday in the future I am going to have a day to myself, I think I might book myself into one of those health spas for the day.
