but I had an evening to myself and was determined to keep up to date with my blog, so after finishing my HUGE pile of ironing, I have logged on!
Dh is in Sheffield again having gone to watch the snooker once more. This time he drove so I don't hink he was enjoying it as much as it is quite a drink orientated event. There were 4 of them and they all pile into the bar between frames. he couldn't afford taxi fares etc so decided to drive, but from what he text me I get the impression he was regretting it! Should be home soon, I'll probably stay up and have a glass of wine with him! FIL is over too to watch the snooker, he will be a little tipsy to say the least! He likes his drink!
I was supposed to be at an x factor audition today! Not for me but I applied on FIL behalf! He is a very young looking 63 yr old and he can sing really well. He is this tiny but well built man, with a terrific personaltiy and I seriously think he would have got quite far! I even sent his form in with no signatures as required but a letter explaining that it was a big suprise and telling them his background of a hard life trailing the pubs and clubs of Belfast doing his singing and one man band show, and how my dh as a young boy was appaled at the long hours he worked in smoky conditions and begged him to quit, which he did for him....sob sob!
Anyway they obviously liked the (true I might add!) story as they sent him an auditon which miraculousy was for when he was over from Belfast and I had applied for Birmingham, but not so lucky it was on the very day thathe was going to snooker and there was no way he was going to give up his ticket at the cruicible to queue for ages. He says he isn't good enough, but he is still getting offers from clubs in Belfast to go play again, so I know he is.....but hey too late now!
The other big news is we have a new addition to our family! A giant rocking horse that is 30 yrs old and a bit tatty to say the least! He is in Rosie's room which is a huge room, but he still dominates a little too much for my liking! He is so big even I can have a good ride on him! Rosie adores him! His name was originally Plato but she has renamed him MacaPaca (from Night Garden!) He comes from neighbours who on clearing out their shed found him and thought our kids would like him! They do adore him, but not sure how keen Daddy was! We gave him a carpet shampoo, hoover and good brush and he does lokk 100 times better. Anyway here are some pictures:

Apart from all that excitement, back to the usual, Rosie was at tots tennis day, elijah had a friend back for tea and I have been catching up on washing and ironing most of the evening! Oh and scraping mud off the carpet! all the kiddies decided it would be great fun to play in the 'alternative' sand pit - a patch of soil where the pond used to be before we moved in and had it filled in. They were digging holes and filling them in with water and then Noah sat in the mud and then came running into the house - you get the picture!
Oh NOah has had us in stitches - check this photo out:

Well after net commented on me getting up to loads of interesting things - (I think not!) I have now got the pressure of writing interesting things!
Well the kitchen looks like a bomb has hit it! Am I in there tidying up before I have to bath the kids in 20mins....Nope, I am here writing about it!
Ok - so this was my day - I actually went to a toddler group today! I haven't been really since the other 2 were little - how bad is that? NOah loved it and I chatted to some old faces! Do feel a bit of an outsider though!
Picked Rosie up from nursery and went back to a friends for a delicious lunch - shepherds pie but with loads of different veggies in - makes mine seem so boring and guess what - the kids ate every last bit!! What's the bet that if I put loads of veggies in mine they will eat it - me thinks not!
Took Rosie to ballet and then walked round the village with my friend til Noah fell asleep. We ended up talking about sex, periods and contraception!!! It's weird because though we get on we are only friends through our daughters, but after this long chat I feel we have become much closer - well I now know alot more personal things about her!!! She is not married - just lives with her partner and has 2 kids by him - but I am very envious - after some of the things she told me she obviously is still so very much in lust/love and has real passion in her life! Maybe not getting married is a good thing!!!!! (hope my hubby doesn't read this - well if he does it may not be a bad thing as I am definately going to try and bring the passion back into my life!)
After Rosie's ballet we had to pick up Elijah and then take him to his ballet lesson! Elijah started ballet about a year ago when he asked why he couldn't go to ballet - well I asked the teacher and he has been going for a year and loves it! He is the only boy but that means he gets lots of attention!!!! There is to be a big show in the summer - should be interesting!
Whilst Elijah was at ballet we did our weekly trip to the sweet shop and Rosie chose us all a sweet each! Except when I wasn't looking she ate Elijah's! I was not impressed and told her off to which she responded in a spoilt toddler type way much to my embarrasment! I was very calm just told her that we would go back to the shop buy Elijah annother sweet and that next week she would not get one - this horrified her, hence the tantrum! She was knackered though and gets dreadful when tired but it still was not on. I just must remember next week to not buy her a sweet - though I feel bad as by next week it will be so far in the past, but I have said it now so must follow it through!
Came home, made tea and now have to tidy up!
Only got 10 mins now til bath time!

Well I woke up feeling rough after last night! We got taken out to dinner by Dh's secretary and hubby to celebrate a few things that have been happening with her work wise. It started off with them turning up with champagne, nice but lethal for me, then lots of wine, then they were all having goodness knows what liqueur type things, I passed on them though as was feeling too giddy already!
However though I was feeling rough I blitzed the house with the hoover, packed a lunch for the kids, collected Rosie from nursery, had a picnic, then took them swimming!
What fun it was too - I have never dared take the two of them on my own before but it was fine! Rosie could stand up now and with her arm bands was very confident, but Noah suprised me - he loved it! We gave him armbands and he just bobbed up and down, then kicked away and was quite happy getting around on his own! Occasionally he bobbed too far and his face went under but he thought it was funny!
Will defiinately do it again and hopefully on a regular basis!
Was shattered come 4pm and fell half asleep on the sofa with Noah pulling me and climbing on me!
Managed to get myself organised and made some tea for the kids - but only just and we are running late now! have just realised too that I started loading the washing machine but got distracted and haven't finished!
Just want to chill now, but the kids will be finished tea soon and then it's the mamoth job of clearing up after them!
Oh well - it's apprentice night tonight!

well the kids are all sleeping and dh is in Sheffield spending the day watching snooker!
So I thought I would update all....
First the iron didn't turn out to be broken, something, maybe the iron caused all the switches to short circuit so everything was off. Once I realised I got on and finished the dreade pile!
Second, elijah's hair - THANKYOU!!!! for all your opinions! it seems the general feeling is that it is pretty cool - so I think we are going to have it trimmed and neatened but not cut short! My friend is a hairdresser and I have booked her to come next week so that I can tell her exactly what I want and I know she will do it!
Lastly I have decided that i will apply for this course in Derby next Jan. Noah will be 2 and half by then and that was the age the other 2 went to nursery and playgroup and it is only 2 days a week.
Then when he is 3 in the September hopefully I will get myself a nice part time job either 1 or 2 days a week. As long as I am there for the majority of the kids time.
Am feeling excited even though it is ages off! I have missed work a bit and as I am definately not feeling broody I am feeling more like getting some money in and doing something for me!
anyway I do want to do the course first as don't think I will get much employment otherwise plus I feel like so much has changed since I last taught! Then I will have to decide whether to go for supply or job share. I think job share would be more reliable and the kids would know exactly what days I was working etc.
Right, I am now going to relax!

in mid ironing! I have a pile so high it has taken me days to pluck up the courage to attempt it, then when I finally do, what happens - my iron decides it can't face it! it was a good one too, dh will not be happy....don't know if we have a reciept or warranty somewhere - I know it wasn't very old, possibly a year...knowing my luck it will be one day over it's guarantee!
