Well, its my birthday today. But it isnt like a normal birthday. I have chickenpox and therefore have such a horrid spotty face and body that I cant bear to leave the house.
Katherine has had a temperature on and off since Tuesday but there's no sign of any spots on her yet. I hope she catches it as a child if not now then at some point, It's much worse to catch it as an adult and takes longer to recover from. I have been signed off for 2 weeks.
We were supposed to be going away next Thursday for a couple of days to Somerset to see the in-laws but that is up in the air at the moment depending on my spots.

Poor Katherine had her MMR and 2nd Pneumoccocal jabs yesterday. She had a cry (cant blame her) and once we were back in the waiting room she calmed down and I sat on the floor, she was standing leaning on me having a cuddle. Then she stood all by herself for a few seconds, then again, this time it was over 10 seconds.
We walked very slowly to the Baby Clinic room with Katherine holding on to my hand. She was weighed and now weighs 20lb 9.5ozs. She is doing well.
On the way out she didnt want to walk holding my hand, she wanted to crawl and to walk on her knees. I walked ahead a little and sat on a chair, she came up and stood leaning against my knee, she took the car keys from me and went and WALKED about 4/6 steps before losing her balance.
I was so happy for her and so proud of my little girl.
