Ramsay doesn't travel well
Gordon Ramsay's plans to export his cuisine to France have hit an early stumbling block.
Ramsay has opened a restaurant in Versailles but those notoriously hard-to-please locals are already kicking up a stink.
Food critic Francois Simon, who writes for Le Figaro, has slated Ramsay's menu, branding it 'utterly predictable'.
He also criticised Ramsay for not spending enough time in each of his millions of restaurants.
He said: 'He is just like pop artists these days who steal ideas for songs and lyrics from all over the place.
'It becomes karaoke cuisine, or in the language of Gordon Ramsay, it's bullshit.'
Although the Ramsay PR machine has done its best to keep it under wraps, this is not the first time the craggy-faced potty mouth has struggled to make an impact abroad.
His opening of a restaurant in New York was similarly disastrous or, as he would put it 'an abosolute bloody f*****g disaster'.
Sounds like a kitchen nightmare to me Gord.
