Actress and model Kelly Brook has pulled out of BBC1 show Strictly Come Dancing following the death of her father.
It had originally been thought that the 28-year-old would continue after she opted to carry on rehearsing but she has now admitted that the strain is too much.
A spokesperson for Brook said: 'Kelly would like to wish the remaining contestants the best of luck and thank everyone for their support.'
Brook and partner Brendan Cole had been among the favourites to win the dance contest which is entering its final stages.
Brook's father, Kenneth, 57, died last Monday after a battle with cancer.

Jade Goody is reportedly making another attempt to resurrect her flagging 'career' by pitching the idea of her marrying boyfriend Jack Tweed live on TV to a number of broadcasters.
Goody has been shunned by even the most base-level media companies after she was accused of leading a racist bullying campaign against Shilpa Shetty during Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year.
But, unsurprisingly, it would appear few people are willing to take her on.
Goody's main selling point - being 'working class, opinionated and thick as mud' - doesn't really appeal when you add 'racist' to the list.
Not only that, but the whole 'reality wedding' thing has been done before.
I'm sure there are plenty fo cleaning jobs going though...

While those people who snapped up tickets for the Spice Girls concerts mull over whether they would be better employed as novelty place mats, one man has been given the best possible excuse for not attending the forthcoming round of gigs.
David Beckham has revealed that wife Victoria has banned him from going to their first concert in Vancouver on Sunday, because she will be too nervous.
Well, some of those dance moves (the pointing and pouting in particular) can take a while to get the hang of.
David said: 'One minute Victoria is saying she wants me there and then it's "No, don't come to the first show, as we'll all be too nervous"'.
So it's TV dinners all round in the Beckham house on Sunday night.

Nicole Richie has said she is worried that her newborn child will be embarrassed of its parents.
Richie, who is expecting with Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden, thinks that the main source of embarrassment will be the fact that Joel has lots of tattoos.
She said: 'Well he has sleeves, but I really think that they're going to be so embarrassed because he's their dad.'
So, nothing to with the fact that Richie has never worked a day in her life, spends her time falling in and out of nightclubs and whose only entry of note on her very short CV is 'jailbird' then?

Kelly Brook has vowed to continue her bid to become Strictly Come Dancing champion following the death of her father from cancer.
Ken, 57, died peacefully at the family home in Rochester on Monday following a battle with throat cancer.
Kelly, 28, who is among the favourites to win the show, is reportedly desperate to carry on as the competition enters the final stages.
Her publicist said: 'Kelly will continue her work commitments to the best of her ability as her father would have wanted.'
The model and actress has been rehearsing all week despite her personal anguish ahead of Saturday's show that sees contestants performing two dances instead of one.
