Paul better in bed than Brad

Friday, June 29th, 2007, 6:15 am

Jennifer Anniston is so happy that she wants to world (ie Brad) to know how great things are going with new Essex beau Paul Sculfor.

The Friends star reportedly told a friend that her new brickie boyfriend is better in bed than her previous lovers (ie Brad).

She also let slip that things have got very steamy in the bedroom, having recently sent an assistant out to pick up all manner of kinky wares that she ordered online.

Some rather risqué behaviour not usually associated with her meek discrete former self.

Have things gone from Brad to bad?

Amy in slasher horror

Friday, June 29th, 2007, 6:01 am

Amy Winehouse needs help. During a recent foul-mouthed interview she carved the words 'I love Blake' into her stomach with a shard of glass.

Winehouse has admitted to self-harm in the past. She said, 'I don't care. I don't care about any of this and I don't have much of an opinion on myself.'

Joining Amy in this interview from hell was her dim-witted, hanger-on husband Blake Fielder Civil who told the interviewer, 'Tell the guy who looks like he has leukaemia I'm going to slit his throat.' With a husband like that what hope is there for Amy?

Lily could follow in Paris' footsteps

Friday, June 29th, 2007, 5:25 am

The 22-year-old singer was quizzed by the police yesterday over an alleged assault on a male photographer near the Wardour club in London back in March.

A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said a woman arrested over an alleged assault had been bailed to return in late July. DB wonders what's behind the recent spate of 'celebs gone bad'? All that fame and money must make life so hard. Poor things.

Paris' strip search humiliation

Thursday, June 28th, 2007, 6:34 am

Paris Hilton has described her time in jail as 'traumatic' and claims that being strip-searched was 'the most humiliating experience of my life'.

Speaking to CNN's Larry King, she said that she believed God made 'everything happen for a reason' and that her time behind bars had changed her.

So we're now supposed to believe that her 23 days in jail have magically turned her into some sort of Mother Theresa, who is desperate to support children, breast cancer sufferers and those with multiple sclerosis. It's a difficult concept for DB to swallow, since Larry King believes her to be in denial about her crime, and she has always maintained that her incarceration was wrong. So why the regilious epiphany?

DB predicts a couple of months of nominal charidee work, followed by all-night partying, dancing on the table with her Chloe frock round her waist, and maybe a bit of DUI...

Spice Girls reforming announcement

Thursday, June 28th, 2007, 6:10 am

The Spice Girls are widely expected to announce their plans for get back together at a press conference in London this week. Rumours have been rife for months now, but it seems as if the decision has been made, and that the group are planning six live shows around the world with gigs in London, Tokyo and Las Vegas, to support a greatest hits album which comes out later this year.

In their heyday, Ginger, Posh, Baby, Scary and Sporty sold more than 55 million records. Their debut album, Spice, made them the fastest-selling British act since the Beatles, and the band epitomised "Cool Britannia" in the aftermath of Labour's 1997 election victory, and earned themselves a worldwide fan base.

DB remembers Girl Power very well from the first time around - with much fondness. But can the world stand it again? Band reunions are often successful - look at Take That - but an older, glossier, more groomed version of 'Spice up Your Life'? Db is not entirely convinced...
