Bad to worse

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007, 8:57 am

Well so much for me being put into a proper cast, i was operated on to put a pin and plate in on saturday. Im now back in a temporary cast for another couple of weeks so the swelling can go down.

Im soo down with it now, i have no way of getting the kids to school so they are at home which doesnt help matters. I keep crying as i feel useless, the kids are winding me up as they know i cant do alot about it.

I hate being like this not being able to do anything. Im sleeping downstairs and living in my pjs as i cant get upstairs to get dressed. I havnt washed my hair for over a week and i just feel yuk about everything.

Ive probably got another 6 weeks like this and tbh i can already feel myself slipping into depression, although ive never had it before if i dont get some help from family or someone soon im going to lose it i think.

Thats about all i can write at the moment because if i write more im going to cry even more than i am doing so and i dont think ive got it in me anymore.

Been a long time again!

Wednesday, October 24th, 2007, 5:35 am

Well the last time i blogged on here was when i was 36+1 weeks pregnant. I managed to get to 36+5! Had to be induced as my blood presure went through the roof . I gave birth to a wonderful little girl weighing in at a dinky 5lb 9oz. We have called her Lucy Nicola and she was born on the 5th September.

She is a dream baby who rarely cries unless she is hungry or over tired. She is getting a little porker though at 6 weeks she weighed 8lb 10oz!

Other news

I managed to fall down the last step of my stairs and break my ankle which isnt good with having 5 children! Im in a temporary cast until tomorrow (25th october) when hopefully i will be put in a full cast. I cant believe that its happened to me! Its going to prove very difficult when they go back to school as to how to get them there.

I cant use the stairs at all at the moment so cant use the bathroom to have a proper wash (what a minger!) i have to have help with everything (well not quite everything) but i am sleeping downstairs in a reclining chair with Lucy in her basket beside me. My eldest son has been fantastic with helping with the housework and things. He is even washing bottles and putting them in the steriliser. He empties the washing machine and puts it in the drier and has been a star!

Well thats it for the time being, will update when i get the proper cast on and how long its got to be on for!

36+1 !!!!!

Sunday, September 2nd, 2007, 5:18 am

Well less than 4 weeks till due date but i have a strange feeling that im not going to last that long! My face has broken out in spots which for me normally means something is happening and i just dont feel myself either.

Was admitted to hospital a couple of weeks ago for high blood presure and they ended up giving me steriods just in case and then started talking of c sections! scared the living daylights out of me i can tell you!

Not much else has been happening really, still trying to declutter the house but nesting has set in now and im cleaning like mad at the moment! Ended up cleaning my oven out the other day at 8.30 in the morning which isnt like me at all!

Oh well better get back on with it all as ive still got heaps to do!

31 weeks - 9 to go!

Saturday, July 28th, 2007, 3:04 am

I havent been on here for ages so thought it was about time i updated it a bit! Well only 9 weeks till due date or 7 till fully cooked. If the girls are anything to go by it could be 7 not 9!

Kids are now on summer hols and driving me mad already! My eldest managed to break his wrist 2 days in and is now looking at the holidays in a cast. Got to go to fracture clinic on monday to have a proper cast put on as he has a temp one on at the moment to let the swelling go down.

To say he is fed up is an understatement as the 2 things he loves doing he cant - playing the guitar and skateboarding. We got him the new Harry Potter book which is keeping him busy for a while and his grandma also got him a couple of books to read too. He is still managing to meet with his mates so its not all doom and gloom for him!

Im still trying to get the house sorted out but find i cant bend down that easily now as this little one is pushing down. Ive been thankful that it hasnt been too hot but it looks like the south of england is in for a heatwave in the next few weeks so im going to sort the paddling pool out and i can then do my impression of a beached whale!

Ive got the school uniforms to sort out yet too, Eldest needs a new blazer and trousers and Jacob goes up to Infants (he doesnt look big enough to go!) He is really excited about it too which is a good sign.

Not much else going on really, just plodding on!
