The 70s throwback pub
Well the World's Most Useless Pub has new landlords and it actually opens proper pub hours now! However the menu has changed somewhat, and it was like being on Life On Mars.....
We had on the menu:
Starters of Prawn Cocktail, pate and toast, and melon!
Main courses: Scampi and chips (sadly not in a basket), Ham, Egg and Chips, Gammon and Pineapple or Egg (really haven't seen that on a menu for many many years!), Steak DIANE!! ( I used to have that in the 70s but had no idea it still existed!), Mixed Grill, Ploughmans Lunch.........
It wasn't bad actually, made quite a change from the usual 'coulis' and 'drizzles' and 'medleys' that we seem to have these days. Just nice and basic and unpretentious!
