Twins have arrived

Thursday, September 20th, 2007, 12:26 pm

whoo whoo

My niece had the twins on 18th sept, by c-section.

Identical boys called Jake and Josh.  They weighed in at 3lb 11oz and 3lb 9oz Both are in special care but doing ok, they need fattening up.

Vicky tells me she cant tell them apart, she says they look exactly the same!  I cant wait to meet them

I have made her a card, and need to wrap up all the pressys I have been buying over the last few months!

Such a relief they are here and both are well, and am so proud of Vicky she has done brilliantly

Somerset Holiday!!

Tuesday, August 28th, 2007, 4:04 pm

Phew, glad to be home but had a wonderful time!

Was horrible journey over to Somerset, took 7 hours!  The M3 and A303 were awful bumper to bumper :(

Holly threw up, we pulled over and I cleaned her up, then couldnt get the sliding door to close, arghhh Daniel eventually managed to do it tho!

Saturday night we spent settling in, and finding our bearings.  Sunday we went into Minehead and done some shopping, it was drizzling.

Monday we went to the Clarks village and met up with Becki and Toby and Chloe and some friends from home :)

Meeting Becki was lovely bless her she had a very stressful morning and it was amazing she got to the village!  {{{hugs}}} for Becki.  It was a bit mad, and poss not the best place to meet, it was drizzling and very busy!  Glad we met up tho :)

When we left there we went to Lynmouth and it was lovely and sunny!  So we spent a couple of hours there and had hot chocolates, I shared my marshmallows with Holly and then she wanted more, we told her she would have to go and ask for some, and she did!

On Tuesday we went to Barnastaple to crafty Devils, I couldnt really look as the children were constantly on my heels asking if they could buy up the whole shop, I spent more on them than I did on me!

We then went to Ilfracombe and made sandcastles on the harbour beach as it was such a beautiful day :)

Sean making his Sandcastle!

Emily on the Beach!  Gorgeous isnt she?

The sand was so compact that we could make the most amazing footprints!  I am going to use this picture on a sympathy card with the poem for my aunt who died on friday (I hadnt seen her since I was a little girl, but I still have contact with my cousin so will send it to her)

Me and the children at Ilfracombe!

On weds we walked up Dunkery Beacon, it takes you to the highest point above seawater in the area.

I love these pics, we didnt realise Emily was taking them, and we were sitting enjoying the views and having a cuddle - aw

That afternoon we had a drink at a local pub which we went back to on friday for dinner which was lovely, and I stole kisses from Holly

When we arrived back at the cottage the children went down to play in the stream!  They had wellys on, but it was deeper than last year

see Em loves Sean really, she had to really pull those wellys off, it was soo funny!

I actually got a pic of all the children together too I think this was friday tho!

On Thursday we went to Barnstaple Bay, it was a stunningly beautiful day!

The kids made sandcastles, Hollys favourite, and played in the sea, Nerys favourite!

We couldnt believe Nerys' confidence in the sea, it wasnt so long ago she was terrified of water!!

She was dunked a plenty! LOL

On friday we went to Gnome Retreat and had a fab time meeting lots of gnomes!

Poor sean got squished by Emily! The bus was a long time coming too lol and Holly enjoyed her lunch with the Gnomes!

That evening we went to the restaurant for dinner which was yummy!

Me! Strangly curly hair, I dont know if it was the soft water or what but my hair has decided since we were on holiday that it is definatly going to go curly!  It has had moments like this before too, but never quite so serious!!!

After the meal we went up onto the moors and took pictures of the sunset it was stunning!

We then decided to look for stags, as they do come out at dusk!  No such luck, and we got a puncture instead, was very scary!

Cue scary music, people carrier with giggling children pulled over on side of lonely country rd, no street lights, noone else to be seen for miles around.  husband trying to change tyre by light from his mobile phone, yep no torch in car!

I was terrified, my overactive imagination was imagining being watched through the trees, the beast of exmoor getting ready to pounce at any time!

Thankfully the tyre was changed in 15 mins, my hero!

We arrived back at the cottage unharmed lol

The journey home on saturday was ok, we got back at about 5.30pm...

Fab holiday!!!

Think I gained about 4lb while we were away but hey ho!

Something very very strange is happening

Tuesday, August 14th, 2007, 1:04 pm

I dont understand what is happening this week

I am currently 14.5 points over my allowance since Thursday (weigh in day) BUT according to my home scales which have been 100% correct with the weigh in ones, I have already lost 3lb this week, and I still have tomorrow and thurs to do - very odd

How can I be losing weight when I have gone over my point allowance so much?  I know I have been busy with the kids etc and on my feet a lot but not that much!!!

I guess it is a case of wait and see and dont knock it lol

Feel like I am disappearing :o(

Sunday, August 12th, 2007, 2:04 pm

Have had a lovely few days, my friend came to stay with her little boy, they came weds and left this morning - I cried when they went, I so wish we lived nearer.

We done loads of shopping, crafting and chatting.  Lots late nights lol

The little ones were brilliant, they have both changed so much since march and they were having little conversations :o)

I took a few pics and will upload them later
