Emily's 1st Birthday in Heaven

Sunday, October 7th, 2007, 5:16 am

Thank you all for your kind words on Emily's first birthday. I cannot believe it has been a year but then on the other hand it often feels like a lifetime ago.

We got a teddy bear floral arrangement made for Emily and we took a balloon down the night before so that it was there for the morning. We then went back down to see her at 5.15 so that we were there for 5.29pm - the time she was thrust into the world! There have been a lot of tears over the last few days both from Colin and I but not because we miss her more on her birthday - we miss her every day, we have just been so touched that so many people have remembered her and made an effort to visit her, bring her flowers or a gift, send a txt/email or leave a message on a board. It means a lot that she still has an impact on the world.

Emily's grave looks beautiful Liann. The teddy bear made out of flowers is gorgeous and the angels, the flowers, the balloons, it all looks so perfect. I can just imagine that Emily is up in heaven being so pleased that so many people on earth remembered her birthday.
\n
\nLove Sophie xx

Liann - what a beautiful tribute to a little girl who was very very special, and always will be. I can't start to understand how you cope with this, but you really are an inspiration. God bless you, Colin and little Emily. xx
