What a night it was last night!!! I was absolutely petrified! Was waiting outside the hall for about half an hour (was soooo early!) and was sitting on a bench in the corridor - felt like i was waiting to see the headmaster at school! lol. There were about 60 elders at the meeting so I did a quick presentation and then had a question time - they asked a LOT!! I was sooo nervous but i dont think it showed. I held myself well and answered every question as well as I could. I prayed before and after and knew that God's will woudl be done - and it was! They have given me a provision decision that I CAN lease the halls - they want to find out how much they have to fork out for renovation first before they can given me an unconditional decision but so far so good!
Next stage is to start applying for funding and looking into an independent investor and I need to do any application to the Care Commision who regulate care in Scotland - thats a HUGE form so just as well I'm off for three days next week!
So it's looking like it WILL actually happen! I am so excited and terrified at the same time!!!
Feeling very proud of myself for managing to speak in front of so many elders of the church - very daunting but it has given me more confidence!
Just thought - I'll post some pictures of the halls where the nursery will be on here - just in case anyone is interested!
Have a good weekend everyone! xxx

Flag it:Well I got in touch with a girl through SANDS who makes cards specificly for our angels. She has made me a lovely father's day card for Colin and she makes a donation to SANDS for every card that's sold.
I thought it was a lovely idea. I asked her to put a pink rose on the card as that is our flower for Emily.
Here's a pic:

Flag it:Yesterday we had a comment on Emily's memorial website (http://emily-alice-weir.gonetoosoon.co.uk/) from one of her NICU nurses! At first I was really pleased that she got in touch, only to read on and find out that she has just lost twins! They were both born at 24 weeks and the daughter lived for 12 hours and the son for a month. He looked identical to Emily.
I just cannot believe that this has happened so close to home. I can't stop crying, it really has brought eveything back and my heart is breaking for her.
I'm going to give her the link for our Late Loss and Neonatal Death Board in the hope that we can all support each other through these hard times.
Life is just too cruel.
