I'm iVillage.co.uk's beauty editor. I wouldn't be surprised if the post office had to assign me my own personal postman to deliver all the lovely lotions and potions that I'm sent to try. And yet I still get excited every time a new lipgloss lands on my desk. It's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it.

Hydrotherapy en France

The nice thing about being a beauty editor is that from time to time you get to go on press trips abroad. I'm just back from a lovely trip to the beautiful Avene Spa in France. The properties of the thermal water from their spa there have proven hugely beneficial towards the healing of skin complaints such as eczema, psoriasis and burns. It's also brilliant for anyone sufferering from dryness or skin sensitivity. As well as treating skin complaints on site, Avene also make their own skin care range which is manufactured on site. I was fascinated to visit the factory where they make their skin care products.

 I'll be writing more about my trip and the properties of their miracle water on the beauty channel soon.
