I'm iVillage.co.uk's beauty editor. I wouldn't be surprised if the post office had to assign me my own personal postman to deliver all the lovely lotions and potions that I'm sent to try. And yet I still get excited every time a new lipgloss lands on my desk. It's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it.

Beauty from within

Thursday, May 10th, 2007, 6:23 am

I'm not spotty, but at certain times of the month my skin turns into an angry, itchy, blotchy zit fest. It's been the same ever since i was a teenager and I'm convinced it's hormonal. I got used to it but never liked it. A year ago I was sent a couple of boxes of Imedeen Time Perfection- skin tablets containing a unique Biomarine ComplexTM rich in proteins and polysaccharides similar to those  found naturally in the skin's supporting tissue. The supplements supposedly work below the surface of the skin where ordinary skin creams can't reach to improve the skin's overall quality, structure and appearance.

I guess I started taking the Imedeen Time Perfection largely because I thought it couldn't hurt, but not really believing they'd make a noticable difference - which they didn't seem to after a week or so. After a month or two however, my monthly spot circus was considerably calmer . And, I notice that if I stop taking them for any length of time, the spots start to re-emerge. Taking two fishy smelling pills once a day isn't much fun for me as I can't stand fishy things, but it seems to be worth it in the long run. They're not cheap, and maybe they're not for everyone but look out for 3 for 2 offers if you're keen.

 Visit www.imedeen.co.uk for more information.

Hey Roni, Fleur's been having trouble with her skin and, like you, we think it's hormonal.<br />

How "not cheap" are these things?
